New Wave Cafe has been mixing drinks and fun in Queen Village since 1985. Founded by Center City natives Nate Ross and brothers Sam and Aly Lynagh, the New Wave is a leader in the new Philly bar trend that combines a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere with gourmet-quality cuisine.

New Wave is a place you can come to relax: throw darts, have a shot, shoot pool, grab a bite. The local teams or the big game are always on one of the multiple TVs, and the bar is always filled with friendly locals. You don't have to scream over loud music, or people asking you what sign you are...just great drinks, great company and great food.

We sought out top culinary talent in New York to man the kitchen at New Wave Cafe, and hired Executive Chef and ex-Philadelphian Jason Seraydarian in May 2003. Heralding from a string of popular New York eateries, Jason brings varied experiences and skills to the restaurant. Whether there for dinner with friends or a bite to eat at the bar while catching the season opener, you can find something to suit your tastes. Jason's menu of American Mediterranean cuisine makes reference to his Armenian heritage and his classical training at the Culinary Institute of America. Dishes range from roasted mussels with Spanish Romesco, to spicy BBQ wings, to cassia cinnamon crusted pork tenderloin. He also offers a variety of sandwiches that draw from America's various culinary styles — New England's lobster roll, the grilled flank steak sandwich; Jason's version of the Philadelphia cheese steak, and the Southwestern smoked chicken quesadillas.
